The last fishing trip of 07 - 08 season

We went to catch our last trout of the season.

It was cold and raining, and was hard for us to spot fish. On top of this, the water was still very low.

At the end, I managed to land my last fish of the 2007-2008 season, and that was only fish we caught on the day. Chris said, it is just a stupid superstition, but I think it was because of my new lucky hat (my fishing hat #1 bit the dust in Tokyo during our school trip after a long years of service).

今シーズン最後の鱒釣りです。あいにくの雨で魚は見つけにくく、水の量もまだ少なく釣りは難しかったです。でもシーズン最後の一匹が釣れたので良しとしましょう。

また来シーズンもみんなで良い釣りができますように。

School Trip - Tokyo

Our last destination was Tokyo.

First we went to Shibuya and Harajyuku. These are places for people interested in fashion and Japanese pop culture, and our girls loved to be there.

I guess only interest for fly-fishing folks in Shibuya and Harajyuku would be Patagonia store where you can check their fly-fishing clothes. I bought a fishing shirt at the store, and had my old wader and wading shoes, which were having some problems, replaced to new models. Thanks Patagonia

旅行の最後は東京です。まず、渋谷と原宿ですが、若者の街と言う事もあって生徒達には（と言っても女子ですが）人気がありました。渋谷１０９や竹下通りは買い物好きのティーンエイジャー達にとってはとても面白い場所だったみたいです。

僕の渋谷、原宿での予定はこっそり一人でパタゴニアストアーに行く事でした。パタゴニアの旧型Watermasterとウェーディングシューズの調子が悪く、日本に行く前にパタゴニアにメールをしたら、交換してもらえるとの事でした。いやー本当に無料で、しかも新しいモデルに交換してくれるなんて、感謝です。手ぶらで帰るのもなんなんで、釣り様にシャツを一枚買いました。







Then we went to see ASIMO. He (kids said she) was an amazing piece of Japanese engineering.

東京二日目は、アシモを見にお台場へ。







I am not a big fun of Disney Land or any other Disney stuff. I almost cried when Disney bought out Pixar Animation. But as you can expect, students loved the Tokyo Disney Land and other friendly fake characters that we saw over there.

おきまりのディズニーランドです。あいにくの雨でしたが、生徒達は喜んでいました。







Finally we went to my gandma's place. They loved to be in Japanese style room and get to meet with my grand mother. We then walked to Asakusa to do our last sightseeing of the trip.

最後は上野と浅草です。まず上野の国立博物館に行きました。ちょうど薬師寺展なるものをやっていました。薬師寺は今回の旅行では日程的に残念ながら行けませんでしたが、最後に東京で日光菩薩と月光菩薩を見れたのは良かったです。それにしてもこの二つの立像はすごかったです。
