Before gets too hot

It has been unusually cool Summer so far, but soon or later it will get warm up, and fishing then gets tough and unpleaesant. So, I went trout fishing before the weather gets too hot.

Fish were very spooky as the water level has already dropped quite bit, but I managed to catch two small fish. One on #14 C.D.C caddis, and one on #16 black flying ant.

夏の暑さがやってくると鱒釣りは休止です。人間も魚も暑くてやってられません。天気予報では来週からだいぶ暑くなるそうなので、まだ涼しい内に（と言っても２６度ですが）釣りに行ってきました。

一ヶ月前と比べると水量も減って魚も神経質になっていましたが、なんとか釣れました。

Once scorching summer heat kicks in, it is better to leave trout alone, and chase black breams instead. I caught this fish on the weekend two weeks ago, and it looks like fish are back on flats again.

暑くなるこれからの季節は、夕方のクロダイ釣りです。ひざ上辺りまでウェーディングしてエビのパターンやクラウザーなどで狙います。

Stormy Sunday

The weather forecast was predicting some rain and thunderstorm on Sunday. We took a gamble and went fishing.

We got to the water after the lunch, and the weater was still OK.
We fished for a few hours, catching a few fish.

The storm finally arrived when we decided to pack up.

天気予報によると雷雨の可能性ありとの事でしたが、ダメもとで釣りに行きました。釣りをしながら空を気にしていましたが、釣りを終えて車に戻るまでは雨も雷もありませんでした。

ところで、僕の竿は６フィート４インチの竹竿、友達の竿は７フィートのカーボン。雷が落ちる時はどっちに落ちるのでしょうか？　やっぱりフェルールが金属の竹竿の方がヤバいんでしょうか。

My friend caught his first trout on a dry fly.

川で釣るのは初めてだという友達でしたが、最初のプールで、しかもキャスト一回であっさりと決めました。

お見事。クリスマス島まで行ってボーンフィッシュを釣って来ただけの事はあります。
