Let's plane some bamboo

I began rough-planing today.

Heat straightening was fiddly and stressful.

Planing, on the other hand, is more therapeutic. I like the feel of a plane taking thin shavings on each stroke. It is rhythmical and much more like casting a line with a fly rod.
